Worked out from the boundaries (smallest container first). Uses the delimited parcels where INAO publishes them.

The delimited vineyard parcels themselves, so the shape is patchy: only land within them may grow the wine. Boundary: INAO parcel delimitation (Licence Ouverte); nearby parcels drawn as one block, with less detail for larger appellations. Country outlines: Natural Earth. Dots on the zone map are the vineyard points used for climate.

Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: White or rosé quality sparkling wine, hand-harvested. Grape load and yields depend on row spacing: 16,000 kg/ha, 78 hl/ha (cap 90) for rows up to 1.80 m; 14,500 kg, 74 (85) up to 2.20 m; 13,000 kg, 67 (76) up to 2.50 m; Hautes Côtes vineyards over 2.50 m 10,500 kg, 60 (65) and a minimum density of 4000 vines/ha. The grape shares (at least 30% chardonnay/pinots, at most 30% gamay) apply to the cuvée. Base wines max 11.5% after enrichment; at most 100 litres of must per 150 kg of grapes; wood chips banned.
