Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Grapes are dried to at least 28% sugar (33% for Riserva and Occhio di Pernice) and pressed from 1 December (1 January for Riserva and Occhio di Pernice); casks are limited to 300, 125 and 75 litres respectively. Bottling must take place in the province of Siena. No sweetness term is stated, though all types retain unfermented sugar (2-4% vol potential alcohol).
