Worked out from the boundaries (smallest container first). They follow whole communes, so a neighbour sharing a commune can show up here too.

Boundary drawn from whole communes, so it is a little larger than the legal zone. Boundary: Eurac Research PDO inventory (CC0). Country outlines: Natural Earth. Dots on the zone map are the vineyard points used for climate.

Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Total acidity is given only as a unit (meq/l) with no value, so it is left null. No minimum ageing periods are given for Roble, Crianza, Reserva or Gran Reserva. Rosé made by bleeding is limited to 32 hl/ha and 40 l of bled must per 100 kg; other rosé yields are not stated. Up to 15 % rosé may be blended into the following year's red. Liqueur wines are fortified with wine alcohol of at least 96 % vol. Continuous presses are prohibited. Varieties include Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Graciano, Mazuelo, Viura, Chardonnay and Moscatel de Grano Menudo. The older Spanish technical file (Ares(2014)2103191) sets 32 hl/ha for rosé wine generally (recorded for both rosé products); its white and red yields are misprinted as 10000 and 8800 'hectolitros' per hectare and are not used.
