Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Maximum yields are set per variety: white figures are for Aligoté, Fetească regală, Zghihară de Huşi, Crâmpoşie selecţionată, Frâncuşă, Plăvaie, Donaris and Grasă de Cotnari (others 13,500-16,000 kg/ha, 104-123 hl/ha); red figures are for Codană and Portugais bleu (Syrah, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Barbera 15,000 kg/ha and 111 hl/ha; Merlot, Zweigelt 13,500 kg/ha and 100 hl/ha; Cabernet Sauvignon, Fetească neagră, Pinot noir, Negru aromat, Băbească neagră 12,600 kg/ha and 93 hl/ha, 97 hl/ha for rosé). Rosé still wines are mentioned (from Pinot gris and Traminer roz, and in the yield table) but have no analytical limits of their own; sparkling wine yields are not set separately. Wines may be processed in listed Vrancea localities; the Vutcani sub-designation and single-vineyard names may be added. The national specification in the register (2011) is older than the single document and differs: planting density 3 330 vines/ha (single document 3 000), lower yields (10 500–13 500 kg/ha, 78–101 hl/ha by variety), red-wine minimum acidity 4,0 g/l and no sparkling wines; existing values are kept. Added from it: grape sugar 170 g/l, natural alcohol 8,5 % vol, dry extract, and the ageing terms Rezervă and Vin de vinotecă (Vin tânăr: released before the end of the harvest year). Malolactic fermentation is compulsory for reds.
