Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Source is the 2014 technical file (single document in Spanish). Main varieties (no shares) include Monastrell, Tempranillo, Garnacha Tinta, Garnacha Tintorera, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Airén, Macabeo, Malvasía, Moscatel de Alejandría and Chardonnay; Monastrell covers 80% of plantings. Irrigated vineyards need at least 1,800 vines/ha (1,000 dry-farmed). The 9-month minimum for sparkling wine is bottle ageing (crianza en botella); the sparkling method is not named. Centrifugal crushers, continuous presses and pre-heating for colour are prohibited.
