Copernicus ERA5-Land monthly averages at 5 vineyard points (Vineyard point 1, 277 m; Vineyard point 2, 219 m; Vineyard point 3, 171 m; Vineyard point 4, 259 m; Vineyard point 5, 166 m), moved to each point's height from the model's terrain. Indices that need daily data are not captured yet. How the climate figures are made.

Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Maximum yields are set per variety group, not per wine type: 15,000-21,500 kg of grapes per hectare and 115-165 hl/ha (e.g. Cabernet Sauvignon, Fetească Neagră, Pinot Noir, Merlot 17,500 kg/ha and 129 hl/ha, or 135 hl/ha when vinified white). Vine density is at least 3,300 plants/ha in existing plantations and the training method is left to the producer. Permitted varieties include Aligoté, Şarba, Pinot Gris, Riesling de Rhin, Plăvaie, Chardonnay, Fetească albă, Tămâioasă românească, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Galbenă de Odobeşti; the yield table also names varieties (Fetească Regală, Fetească Neagră, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot) that are missing from section 7. The document groups white and rosé wines under one set of analytical limits. Maximum yields are not recorded from the national specification (2011, 10 500–15 000 kg/ha and up to 113 hl/ha by variety) because the newer single document sets different, higher limits. The national text allows enrichment by at most 1,5 % vol and names quality levels D.O.C.-C.M.D., C.T. and C.I.B. without separate grape-sugar limits.
  • National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
