Picked by the data, not by hand: the profiles nearest on season warmth (counted twice), degree days, rain, ripening-month nights and day–night range. Neighbours within 30 km are left out, as they share the same weather.

Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: The register name 'Pinot Noir' is taken to be the white-vinified Pinot nero (vinificazione in bianco). Superiore/Supérieur versions need grapes and finished wine at least one degree above the base minima (not recorded as figures). Vendemmia tardiva grapes are partly dried on the vine and need 200 g/l sugar (Blanc de Morgex), 220 g/l (Müller Thurgau) or 250 g/l (others); passito grapes are dried after harvest to at least 26% sugar; neither may use concentrated must, and vendemmia tardiva may be amabile or dolce. Blanc de Morgex spumante needs at least 12 months' elaboration. Altitude limits are set per subzone in Art. 3 and are not recorded here.
