Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Barolo Chinato is an aromatised wine made from Barolo flavoured with cinchona, with no further production rules in this text. With the Vigna mention, wine yield per hectare follows from the 7.2 t/ha grape yield (lower again for vines under seven years old); grape-to-wine yield falls to 68% (54.4 hl/ha) after the compulsory ageing. Vinification and ageing may be authorised in certain neighbouring communes.
