Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: The 'minimum actual alcoholic strength' figures for Eszencia (27.75), Aszú (19), Sweet Szamorodni, Fordítás, Máslás (16) and late-harvest (13.6) are recorded as printed but appear to be total/potential strengths. Aszú, Fordítás and Máslás base wine needs 12.08 % (19 °MM) and aszú berries 26.08 % (45 refr %); at most 6 l of Eszencia and 220 l of Eszencia, Aszú and Fordítás combined per 100 kg aszú berries. Enrichment, sweetening and acidity adjustment are prohibited for all wine specialities (white wine: sweetening only) and bottling must take place in the area; sparkling wine stays at least 90 days on lees. Hand harvesting except for white and sparkling; 4,000 vines/ha and listed training systems apply to vineyards planted after 1 August 2009. Figures above 18% printed as minimum actual alcohol are total alcoholic strengths (actual plus potential from the sugar), so they are not recorded as actual alcohol. From the older national technical file: must weights of 19 °MM for Aszú, Fordítás and Máslás base wine (Aszú berries 45 refr %), 21 °MM for Szamorodni and 14.9 °MM for sparkling wine; Eszencia yield at most 1.2 hl/ha. That text also sets late-harvest grapes at 12.8 % vol (20 °MM) and other wines at 9 % vol (14.9 °MM), lower than the single-document 13.6 and 10.6 kept here, and longer ageing (Aszú and Aszúeszencia 3 years including 2 in wood; Szamorodni, Fordítás and Máslás 2 years including 1 in wood) than the current wood minimums kept here; it predates the 2013 reform and still lists Aszúeszencia and puttonyos grades.
