Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Dry wine may hold up to 9 g/l sugar if total acidity is no more than 2 g/l below it; Assyrtiko shares for the liqueur wine are taken from the naturally sweet wine it is made from. Liqueur wine has a maximum actual strength of 22 %; must reaches 370 g/l sugar after raisining (21 % natural); fermentation of dry white must not exceed 20 °C; Vinsanto oxidative ageing takes place only on Santorini and Thirasia, with optional 'Aged for x years' terms in 4-year steps. The national product specification (an older version) gives a maximum yield of 8,000 kg of grapes or 60 hl of wine per hectare and at least 75 % Assyrtiko for the dry white; the single-document values (6.5 t/ha, 50 hl/ha, 85 %) are kept.
  • National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
