Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: White from at least 70 % Athiri (rest Malagousia and Assyrtiko); red and rosé from at least 70 % Mandilaria (rest Mavrothiriko); the specification gives no varieties for the sparkling wines. The red/rosé grape yield is written 'δέκα χιλιάδες (11000)' (ten thousand) – the figure 11,000 kg/ha is recorded. Athiri may come only from part of the zone (Kameiros/Attavyros communities). Sparkling wines: second fermentation in bottle or closed tank (method not fixed), at least 3.5 bar, total acidity 3.5–7.5 g/l, sugar by the usual brut nature…doux scale. Sweetening allowed for semi-dry and semi-sweet types; continuous presses prohibited for white wine; vines must be over four years old from grafting.
  • National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
