Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Section 7 lists nine varieties without assigning them to colours; white-variety yields (12,000 kg, 84 hl/ha) and red-variety yields (10,000 kg, 70 hl/ha) are not tied to rosé or sparkling wines. Maximum total alcohol is 15 % for still wines; quality aromatic sparkling wine needs only 6.0 % actual alcohol; sparkling wines' 10 % maximum total strength appears to be an error. Tinto roble wines need 90 days' ageing (60 in oak up to 600 litres) and vino de guarda 365 days (60 in oak), counted from 1 October of the harvest year. The national technical file (2014) gives Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva whites and reds 12.5% vol minimum actual alcohol, but no ageing periods (general national rules apply). It differs from the single document on other wines: minimum actual alcohol 10% (white), 11% (rosé) and 12% (red), and it lists 70 hl/ha for white and 84 hl/ha for red varieties; its Tinto Roble barrels are at most 330 l.
  • National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
