Boundary drawn from whole communes, so it is a little larger than the legal zone. Boundary: Eurac Research PDO inventory (CC0). Country outlines: Natural Earth. Dots on the zone map are the vineyard points used for climate.

Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Whole island of Lanzarote; smaller geographical units Arrecife, Haría, San Bartolomé, Teguise, Tías, Tinajo and Yaiza. One yield limit applies to all wines. Overripe-grape wine acidity is given as 3,5 in meq/l, so it is left null. Planting density may not exceed 3 000 vines/ha (no minimum stated). The sparkling method is not stated. Varieties include Malvasía Volcánica, Listán Blanco de Canarias, Listán Negro, Diego and Moscatel. Bottling only in registered wineries. The older Spanish technical file (Ares(2014)2153524) gives 3,5 g/l minimum total acidity for quality sparkling wine, against the 5.5 g/l kept here.
  • National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
