Worked out from the boundaries (smallest container first). They follow whole communes, so a neighbour sharing a commune can show up here too.

Boundary drawn from whole communes, so it is a little larger than the legal zone. Boundary: Eurac Research PDO inventory (CC0). Country outlines: Natural Earth. Dots on the zone map are the vineyard points used for climate.

Showing every colour The colour filter changes the rules and grapes. Climate, vintages and soils describe the vineyards, so they stay the same.

Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Vino de pago in El Bonillo (Albacete). Yields are set per variety, not per wine: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Viognier 9 000 kg/ha (66.60 hl/ha), Tempranillo 12 000 kg/ha (88.80 hl/ha), Merlot 8 500 kg/ha (62.90 hl/ha), Syrah 13 000 kg/ha (96.20 hl/ha), so red and rosé yields are left null. The 74 l per 100 kg pressing limit is recorded as the wine yield. 'Chardonnay wine' (group 3) is a separate, sweeter-styled type at 12 % minimum. No ageing periods are given for Envejecido, Crianza, Reserva or Gran Reserva; fermentation/maceration lasts at least 7 days (Envejecido, Crianza) or 15 days (Reserva, Gran Reserva) at up to 30 °C; at least 10 % of oak-fermented whites must ferment in casks of up to 5 000 l. Grape shares are not stated. The 2014 technical file (Spanish) differs from the single document: pressing at most 70 l per 100 kg (74 kept), wine yields 63 hl/ha for Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay (66.6 kept), 84 Tempranillo, 59.5 Merlot, 91 Syrah, and at least 10 % of oak-fermented Chardonnay in new or under-one-year casks of up to 500 l, resting 2 to 12 months. It adds no ageing periods.
