Worked out from the boundaries (smallest container first). They follow whole communes, so a neighbour sharing a commune can show up here too.

Boundary drawn from whole communes, so it is a little larger than the legal zone. Boundary: Eurac Research PDO inventory (CC0). Country outlines: Natural Earth. Dots on the zone map are the vineyard points used for climate.

Showing every colour The colour filter changes the rules and grapes. Climate, vintages and soils describe the vineyards, so they stay the same.

Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Vino de pago in Manzanares (Ciudad Real). Section 7 lists only red main varieties, so the white wine's varieties are not given. Red wines: each variety is fermented on skins for at least 10 days and aged separately in oak for at least 12 months, then blended and bottle-aged for at least 12 months (24 months in all). One yield limit (7 500 kg/ha, 52.5 hl/ha) applies to the estate. The 2014 technical file (Spanish) gives higher minimum actual alcohol (red 13 % vol, white 12 % vol) than the single document (12.5 and 11.5 kept) and red minimum acidity as "5 en miliequivalentes por litro"; white musts settle at 10–15 °C for at least 18 hours and ferment at 13–21 °C.
  • National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
