Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: The register groups white, orange and rosé wines (including barrel-fermented whites and aged rosés) under one set of analytical limits; they are split here because their grape rules differ. Orange wine needs at least seven days' maceration on skins; 'Fermentado en barrica' wines use barrels of at most 600 litres. Varieties listed (17): Albillo Mayor, Albillo Real, Bruñal – Albarín Tinto, Doña Blanca – Malvasía Castellana, Gajo Arroba, Garnacha Tinta, Garro – Mandón, Juan García, Mencía, Merenzao – Bastardillo Chico, Rabigato – Puesta en Cruz, Rufete, Syrah, Tempranillo, Tijonera, Tinto Jeromo, Verdejo. Continuous presses and high-speed centrifuges are prohibited. From the older Spanish technical file (Ares(2014)2130773): minimum density 2 000 vines/ha, and 'Roble' (rosé and red wines) needs at least 3 months in oak barrels (added as a red product; Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva follow general law and barrels for them are limited to 330 l and 8 years). That file differs from values kept here: minimum actual alcohol 11.5 % vol (white, rosé, young red) and 12.2 % vol (aged red), minimum total acidity 4.5 g/l, and at least 60 % Malvasía Castellana in whites and 60 % Juan García, Rufete and/or Tempranillo in rosés and reds.
