Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Products follow the traditional mentions D.O.C.-C.M.D. (harvested at full maturity) and D.O.C.-C.T. (late harvest); rosé wines are mentioned only in the analytical limits. Maximum grape yields vary by variety: C.M.D. 10 t/ha (Muscat Ottonel, Pinot gris, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Fetească neagră) up to 11 t/ha Pinot noir, 12 t/ha Merlot, Rieslings, Burgund mare, Cadarcă, Syrah, Novac, Sauvignon and 14 t/ha Fetească regală, Mustoasă de Măderat; C.T. 9 t/ha up to 10 t/ha (Pinot noir, Cadarcă, Syrah) and 11 t/ha (Sauvignon, Merlot). The dry extract minimum is given only as 16 g/l for C.M.D. white and rosé and 19 g/l for C.T. red wines. Barrique maturation is compulsory for red wines (normally 3-12 months, reducible to 30 days with micro-oxygenation) and malolactic fermentation is compulsory for reds; vineyard varietal purity at least 85 %. Rezervă needs 6 months in oak and 6 in bottle; Vin de vinotecă one year in oak and 4 years in bottle (any colour). Plai names: Izvin, Herneacova, Dealu Ţiganului, Dealu Viilor, Dealu Vechi, Uberland, Petrovaselo.
