Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: The single document states no specific oenological practices and no maximum yields. Maximum volatile acidity is 18 meq/l (white) and 20 meq/l (red). Sub-designations Diosig, Biharia and Şimleul Silvaniei and several single-vineyard names may be added to the label. Varieties (section 7) include Fetească albă, Fetească regală, Furmint, Mustoasă de Măderat, Riesling italian, Burgund Mare, Cadarcă, Fetească neagră, Pinot noir and others. From the national specification: yields and grape sugar vary by variety; the lowest are recorded (C.M.D.: 8,000 kg/ha and 52 hl/ha for Muscat Ottonel, Sauvignon, Traminer roz, Pinot gris, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot noir and Fetească neagră, up to 12,000 kg and 78 hl for Fetească regală and Mustoasă de Măderat; C.T.: 7,000 kg/46 hl, 8,000 kg/52 hl for Fetească albă, Merlot and Syrah). Minimum sugar is 170 g/l for Fetească regală, the Rieslings, Mustoasă de Măderat and Burgund mare and 187 g/l for the other varieties; C.T. needs 220 g/l for whites and 213 g/l for reds. It sets minimum total acidity for white varieties at 5.5 g/l, against 4.5 g/l in the single document (kept); oak maturation is compulsory for red wines (no period given). Rezervă needs 6 months in oak and 6 in bottle; Vin de vinotecă one year in oak and 4 in bottle.
