Copernicus ERA5-Land monthly averages at 5 vineyard points (Vineyard point 1, 267 m; Vineyard point 2, 171 m; Vineyard point 3, 297 m; Vineyard point 4, 170 m; Vineyard point 5, 275 m), moved to each point's height from the model's terrain. Indices that need daily data are not captured yet. How the climate figures are made.

Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Section 4 describes the wines variety by variety in a white group and a red group; rosé wines (white and rosé may be made from Pinot gris and Traminer roz) share the white wines' 135 hl/ha limit but have no analytical limits of their own. Red-wine minimum total acidity is given as '3,5 in milliequivalents per litre' and is not recorded. Grape yields are set per variety: white figure is for Fetească regală, Riesling italian, Aligoté, Frâncuşă, Galbenă de Odobeşti, Mustoasă de Măderat, Plăvaie and Furmint (others 14,000-15,500 kg/ha); red figure is for Syrah (Fetească neagră, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot noir and Merlot 17,500 kg/ha; Băbească neagră, Burgund mare, Cadarcă and Negru aromat 15,500 kg/ha). Musts and wines may be processed in neighbouring Vrancea municipalities. The national specification (2011) sets lower maximum yields than the single document (10 500–13 500 kg/ha and 75–101 hl/ha by variety, with up to 10 % more in favourable years); existing values are kept. It gives a minimum total acidity of 3,5 g/l for all wines, an average (not minimum) planting density of 3 000 vines/ha, enrichment by at most 1,5 % vol, and quality levels D.O.C.-C.M.D., C.T. and C.I.B. without separate grape-sugar limits.
