Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: White and rosé wines are one category with shared limits; ice wines may be white, rosé or red. Still wines produced without enrichment may reach 20 % total alcohol. The ice-wine wine yield is written as 'max. 18 % hl/ha' (unit unclear, so not recorded as hl/ha). Vineyards need 85 % varietal purity. Grapes may be processed and wines bottled outside the area with notification to ONVPV. Listed single-vineyard names may be added. The national specification in the register (2011) predates the single document and differs from it: minimum total acidity 4,5 g/l (single document 3,5), planting density 3 330 vines/ha (4 000), lower yields (C.M.D. 9 000–12 000 kg/ha and 60–82 hl/ha by variety; C.T. 8 000–9 000 kg/ha and 52–60 hl/ha) and no ice wine; existing values are kept. Added from it: grape sugar 187 g/l (C.M.D.) and 210 g/l (late-harvest C.T.), dry extract, the ageing terms Rezervă and Vin de vinotecă; Vin tânăr may be used for wines released before the end of the harvest year.
