Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Starred varieties: Castelão, Negra-Mole, Trincadeira (red); Arinto, Síria (white). Other reds: Alicante-Bouschet, Aragonez, Cabernet Sauvignon, Monvedro, Syrah, Touriga-Nacional; other whites: Manteúdo, Moscatel-Graúdo, Perrum, Rabo-de-Ovelha. Vines are trained on rows about 0.5-1 m high. The 70 % minimum for the starred varieties applies jointly to the vineyard planting (encepamento). The 60 hl/ha yield may be adjusted yearly by the IVV. Vines must be low-trained; traditional terms such as Reserva, Garrafeira and Colheita Tardia may be used but the specification gives no ageing periods for them.
