Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Permitted varieties (section 7) include cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, cserszegi fűszeres, ezerjó, generosa, irsai olivér, királyleányka and others. Red wines are made only as short-maceration primeur wines. Sweetening and must enrichment of premium wines are prohibited and premium wines must be hand-harvested; bud load is limited to 10 buds per square metre. A single named variety must make up 85 % of the wine. The older national technical file sets a minimum density of 3,300 vines/ha for vineyards planted after 1 August 2010 and 216 g/l grape sugar for late-harvest, selected-harvest and raisined-grape wines; it limits those wines to 20 hl/ha, lower than the single-document 45 hl/ha kept here.
