Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: The 74 % limit is litres of must (not wine) per 100 kg; grape sugar must be at least 170 'degrees' (g) per litre of must. The Arganda sub-area has lower minimum actual strengths (white 10 %, rosé/Clarete 11 %, red 11.5 %). White and red 'Sobremadre' wines (endogenous CO2 from fermentation on the lees and skins) need 5 g/l total acidity. Sparkling wine is made from white and rosé wine. Vines are limited to 16 buds per vine or 36,000 per hectare and 4,000 vines/ha; colour extraction by heating is prohibited. Rosé and sparkling yields (8,000 kg/ha, 56 hl/ha) come from the older national technical file (2014), which gives one figure for all wines. That file's other figures differ from the single document's: minimum actual alcohol 10% (white), 11% (rosé, sparkling) and 11.5% (red), and still-wine acidity 4.5 g/l.
  • National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
