Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Yields are set per grape colour (red 8 000 kg/ha, 59.2 hl/ha; white 10 000 kg/ha, 74 hl/ha), so rosé, sparkling, sweet and liqueur yields are left null. Maximum density 4 000 plants/ha. No ageing periods or sparkling method are given, although Crianza, Reserva, Gran Reserva, Añejo, Roble and other terms are allowed on labels; 'Garnachas Históricas' is for single-variety red Garnacha from vines at least 35 years old. Varieties include Garnacha Tinta, Tempranillo, Mazuela, Cabernet Sauvignon, Macabeo and Moscatel. Wines must be bottled in the demarcated area. The older Spanish technical file (Ares(2014)2152963) adds nothing new and differs from values kept here: 70 litres of wine per 100 kg, and 49 hl/ha (red) and 56 hl/ha (white).
  • National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
