Copernicus ERA5-Land monthly averages at 5 vineyard points (Vineyard point 1, 119 m; Vineyard point 2, 90 m; Vineyard point 3, 173 m; Vineyard point 4, 103 m; Vineyard point 5, 123 m), moved to each point's height from the model's terrain. Indices that need daily data are not captured yet. How the climate figures are made.

Lower confidence:Monthly reanalysis in moderately complex terrain; not yet checked against a weather station.

Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Grape-to-wine yield is at most 0.72 hl per 100 kg of grapes (exceptionally 0.74); recorded yields are for varieties other than Parellada, which may give 10,000 kg/ha (72 hl/ha; 7,500 kg/ha and 54 hl/ha for 'Vinyet'); the 'Vinyet' limit for other varieties is 6,750 kg/ha (48.60 hl/ha). Base wines for sparkling wine need at least 10 % total alcohol. Wines with over 12 g/l residual sugar are allowed in each colour. Continuous presses, high-speed centrifugal crushers and heat extraction of colour are prohibited. The older national technical file (2014) gives higher minimum acidities (4 g/l red, 4.2 white and rosé, 4.5 sparkling) and yields of 9,900 kg/ha (73.26 hl/ha), 11,000 for Parellada; the single-document values are kept.
