Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Varieties listed: Albillo Mayor, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha Tinta, Macabeo – Viura, Mencía, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo – Tinta del País. Lower yields (max_yield_t_ha_uga) apply to 'Vino de Pueblo' or 'Vino de Villa' wines (white 57.6 hl/ha, red 40.32 hl/ha). The 'Sweet red wines' are described with straw- to golden-yellow tones in the source. 'Ice wine' (grapes harvested frozen, no added sugar) is described in 5.1 but has no product entry; no minimum ageing periods are given for Crianza, Reserva or Gran Reserva. The older Spanish technical file (Ares(2014)2130624) adds no ageing periods; it requires at least 50 % Tinta del País in red and rosé wines and limits barrels for Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva to 330 l and 8 years of age.
