Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: Sub-denominations Blaj, Jidvei, Mediaş and Târnăveni. Products follow the traditional mentions D.O.C.-C.M.D. (full maturity), D.O.C.-C.T. (late harvest) and D.O.C.-C.I.B. (noble-rot harvest, white varieties only: Pinot Gris, Muscat Ottonel, Riesling de Rhin, Fetească Albă, Traminer aromat; the yield table also lists 54 hl/ha C.I.B. for Sauvignon). Yields per variety: C.M.D. 12 t/ha (14 t/ha Riesling Italian, Fetească Regală, Fetească Albă) and 78-94 hl/ha; C.T. 10 t/ha and 67 hl/ha for whites, 10 t/ha and 65 hl/ha (Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Fetească Neagră) or 8 t/ha and 54 hl/ha (Syrah, Merlot) for reds; no C.T. for Neuburger, Fetească Regală or Furmint. Enrichment is allowed in unfavourable years (must at least 155 g/l sugar), up to 12 % vol total. Sweetness ranges from dry to sweet by residual sugar (sec up to 4 or 9 g/l, demisec up to 12 or 18 g/l, demidulce up to 45 g/l, dulce over 45 g/l). Vin tânăr is wine released before the end of the harvest year; vineyard varietal purity at least 80 %.
  • National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
  • Also covers PDO-RO-A1064, registered separately for some wine types under the same name; its wines are listed here.
  • From the specification: Specification covers quality sparkling wine (white, rosé or red) only, made by second fermentation in bottle; all sweetness levels from brut nature to dulce are allowed. Yields vary by variety (lowest kept): Chardonnay 8,500 kg/ha and 51 hl/ha; Pinot Gris, Muscat Ottonel, Sauvignon and Pinot Noir 9,500 kg/ha and 57 hl/ha; Fetească Albă and both Rieslings 12,000 kg/ha and 72 hl/ha; Fetească Regală 14,500 kg/ha and 87 hl/ha; Iordană 15,000 kg/ha and 90 hl/ha. Base wines need at least 9.5 % vol total alcohol, 6.0 g/l acidity, 15 g/l non-reducing extract and at most 4 g/l sugar. Hand harvesting only; the nine months on lees is the condition for the mandatory 'traditional method' indication.
