From the specification: Still and frizzante wines may be secco, abboccato, amabile or dolce, so sweetness is left null. Natural alcohol minimums may be cut by 0.5% vol in poor years. Vinification must take place in the province of Piacenza, or in S. Maria della Versa and Rovescala (Pavia) east of the Bardoneggia. Artificial carbonation of frizzante is prohibited.
