Same area as its administrative region; the boundary is the region's outline.
From the specification: IGT 'Toscano' or 'Toscana'. Any type may name one or more varieties from Art. 2 (no minimum share stated beyond EU rules); varietal wines follow the limits of their type. Frizzante wines may range from dry to sweet. Natural alcohol minima may be lowered by 0.5% vol in poor vintages. Vinification in the production zone or neighbouring communes; governo all'uso toscano allowed for rosso (at least 5 kg of dried grapes per hl). Can be used as a fallback for wines from vineyards registered for DOCs in the zone.
National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
