From the specification: Types may be dry to sweet; spumante covers both 'Vino Spumante' and 'Vino Spumante di Qualità'. Passito is the dried-grape wine ('vino ottenuto da uve appassite'); stramature is late-harvest. Varietal wines exclude Cannonau, Girò, Nasco, Nuragus and Semidano; two to four varieties may be named if each exceeds 15%. Passito and stramature wine yields are per fresh grapes. Natural alcohol may be lowered by 0.5% vol in poor years except for passito and stramature.
