  • Boundary not captured yet (PGIs are not in the Eurac boundary data).
  • From the specification: Regional PGI for Thrace: still white, red and rosé (ερυθρωπός) wines dry to sweet, and white and red liqueur wines (fortified; the 12 % vol natural minimum applies to the partially fermented must used). The liqueur-wine clause refers to the varieties of the 'PGI Evros', apparently carried over from that specification. Red varieties include Karnachalades, Keratsouda, Limnio, Mavroudi, Moschomavro, Pamidi, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. Vineyards: in the named Abdera/Topeiros districts of Xanthi up to 300 m, Evros prefecture above 20 m, and named Maroneia/Sapes districts of Rhodope. Yields are left to the ministerial decisions for the Thracian PGI wines; white and rosé fermentation not above 20 °C; sweetening permitted for semi-dry and sweeter wines.
