  • Boundary not captured yet (PGIs are not in the Eurac boundary data).
  • From the specification: Regional PGI for Crete: still white, red and rosé (ερυθρωπός) wines dry to sweet; liastos (sun- or shade-dried grapes, no added must, concentrate or alcohol); white and red liqueur wines (fortified; made from must of at least 12 % vol natural strength) and liqueur wine from dried grapes, with fortification completed by 31 May of the following year. Yields are not fixed here: the specification refers to the yields in the ministerial decisions for the Cretan PDO and PGI wines, and grapes must come from their recognised vineyard areas. Maximum total acidity 7.5 g/l (7.0 g/l for red); white and rosé fermentation not above 20 °C; sweetening permitted for semi-dry and sweeter wines.
