  • Boundary not captured yet (PGIs are not in the Eurac boundary data).
  • From the specification: Chania PGI, Chania prefecture (Crete) above 30 m. Varieties may be used in any proportion. Yields: 13,000 kg/ha for white and 12,000 kg/ha for red varieties (rosé follows the varieties used). The liqueur wine table gives a 'minimum natural alcoholic strength' of 17.5 % vol, which is plainly the total strength, so the 12 % vol natural strength of the must stated in the winemaking section is recorded instead; liqueur wine actual strength 15–22 % vol. Liastos (sun-dried grape wine) needs at least 45 g/l sugars and 16 % vol natural strength, with no additions. Sweetening is permitted for semi-dry, medium-sweet and sweet wines; wines may be made in wineries in the prefecture or neighbouring prefectures.
