Seasons are labelled by harvest year (April–October). Year-to-year changes from ERA5-Land; tested against station records in Alto Adige (r = 0.94 for season temperature at Bolzano). Rain varies more locally, so treat single-season rain with some caution. Vintage ratings, harvest dates and frost or hail events have places in the data model but are not loaded yet.

Still to check (3)
  • Generated from EU reference data: check against the current product specification.
  • From the specification: The single document sets no analytical limits or must weights (current legislation applies). The 110 hl/ha yield may be exceeded by a further 20 % stored as surplus. Products must be made in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria or a neighbouring state; from the 2030 vintage dry wines may no longer be sold as Prädikatswein. About 198 varieties are permitted (Accent, Acolon, Lemberger, Trollinger, Riesling and others). National specification: minimum natural alcohol and must weights vary by variety and by state (Baden-Württemberg table; Bavaria higher, e.g. Qualitätswein 7.5 %/60 °Oe, Kabinett 10.3 %/78 °Oe, Auslese 13.8 %/100 °Oe, Beerenauslese and Eiswein 17.7 %/125 °Oe); the lowest is recorded (Qualitätswein 7.0 %/57 °Oe for Riesling, Silvaner, Lemberger and Trollinger; Kabinett 9.5 %/73 °Oe; Spätlese 11.4 %/85 °Oe). Kabinett, Spätlese and Classic (red or white Qualitätswein from classic varieties, must 1 % vol above the minimum, at least 11.5 % total alcohol, residual sugar at most 15 g/l and twice the acidity) are added from the national text; Riesling-Hochgewächs needs must 1.5 % vol above the minimum. The national text allows 150 hl/ha (plus 20 %) on registered steep slopes in Baden-Württemberg, against the 110 hl/ha recorded. Sweetening only with grape must; bottle-fermented Sekt needs at least 9 months total production time, and Sekt may also be made without a second fermentation. Enrichment: Qualitätswein up to 15 % vol total; not Prädikatswein.
  • National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
