From the official production rules (national product specification, via the EU register). Hover a figure to see the clause it comes from. A dash means the rules set no figure, or it is not captured yet.
Boundary not captured yet (PGIs are not in the Eurac boundary data).
From the specification: Landwein (PGI). The 11.5 % vol enrichment ceiling covers white, rosé and Rotling. Varieties: white list (Bacchus, Gelber Muskateller, Müller Thurgau, Weißer Riesling, Grüner Silvaner...) and red/rosé list (Acolon, André, Blauer Spätburgunder, Dornfelder...) without shares, plus varieties under suitability trials. At least 85 % of grapes from the area, the rest from Germany. Residual sugar may not exceed the maximum for 'halbtrocken' (12 g/l, or 18 g/l where total acidity is no more than 10 g/l below the sugar), so only dry and medium-dry wines qualify; this is not recorded as a single figure. Sweetening is allowed only with German grape must.
National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
