From the official production rules (national product specification, via the EU register). Hover a figure to see the clause it comes from. A dash means the rules set no figure, or it is not captured yet.
Boundary not captured yet (PGIs are not in the Eurac boundary data).
From the specification: Landwein (PGI). Varieties: white Ortega, Phoenix, Huxelrebe, Müller-Thurgau, Elbling; red/rosé Regent, Blauer Portugieser, Blauer Spätburgunder; further varieties may be classified by the authority. Total alcohol without enrichment at most 15 % vol. At least 85 % of grapes from the area, the rest from Germany. Residual sugar may not exceed the maximum for 'halbtrocken' (12 g/l, or 18 g/l where total acidity is no more than 10 g/l below the sugar), so only dry and medium-dry wines qualify; this is not recorded as a single figure. Sweetening only with German grape must of the same kind; blending white- and red-grape products is prohibited.
National tier (DOC/DOCG) not captured yet; rules extracted from the specification text.
